FES in North Macedonia

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, in its work is guided by the basic values of social democracy: freedom, justice, solidarity and international dialogue. Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is also performing this task in the Republic of North Macedonia where it has an office since 1996, thus starting its work in support of the process of transformation of the state in the areas of civic participation and activism, social dialogue, North Macedonia’s accession to the European Union and regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.

The ability to connect key actors and stakeholders is a particular advantage of the Foundation in the area of international cooperation. The dialogue, publication, and open forum programs in North Macedonia contribute to the quality of political analysis and discussion in the area of politics, social dialogue, education and gender issues.
