“Art Has an Attitude” – Young People Expressed Themselves Through Creativity

This past weekend, the final event of the program “Art Has an Attitude” took place at Hotel Drim in Struga, organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation – Skopje Office, in cooperation with the Center for Education and Art “Hana”.

The event brought together around 80 high school students from across the country, who expressed their views on various social topics through music, literature, politics, illustration, and graffiti.

Under the mentorship of distinguished professionals – Prof. Emilija Ristanovska, Prof. Dr. Nenad Markovikj, actor Nikola Ristanovski, musician Sara Tashkoska, poet Darko Leshoski, illustrator Kaliopi Trpcheva, and graffiti artist Dragan Kitanovski – the students spent three days developing their creative works, which were showcased during the final event.

The audience enjoyed musical performances, poetry, political speeches, and exhibitions of graffiti and illustrations. All artworks were offered for sale, with proceeds donated to the families affected in Kocani, showing that art not only has an attitude but also a heart.

Through the “Art Has an Attitude” program, students gained skills and a space to express themselves, be heard, and leave a mark. Young voices matter, and creativity is a powerful tool for influence and change.
