Business Forum Valandovo
During the forum, interesting topics were discussed with government representatives, civil organizations, and experts, both local and international. The goal was to address the question of sustainable development: how to invest in economic development that reduces poverty and inequality while also enabling a clean and healthy environment.
Following the conclusion of the Business Forum in Valandovo, a workshop on the topic "Energy transition as an opportunity for sustainable local financing and collaboration with citizens" was conducted. Representatives from multiple municipalities participated in the workshop in Dojran, where discussions revolved around sustainable energy policies and innovative concepts for producing clean, affordable energy accessible to all citizens.
In addition to these benefits, the experiences of our partners from Croatia point to opportunities for sustainable financing for municipalities through various funding calls from the EU and other international institutions and development agencies. DOOEL Energy Center serves as an example of such an innovative concept, which will serve as a model for local-level energy transition, alongside energy cooperatives, communities, and other available models.
