Green City Unconference: “A city that (re)invents itself“

Within the first Green City Unconference: A City That Re-invents itself, held in the period from 11 to 12 June 2019, organized by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Skopje Office and the City of Skopje, a number of young engineers, activists and administrative representatives worked together to create innovative solutions for developing green areas in city urban plans.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Karposh, Mr. Stefan Bogoev spoke about the reclamation of public areas and facilities and their conversion into sustainable public and green spaces, as well as the importance of proper waste management improving quality of life in cities. At the open event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss their draft solutions with representatives of the City of Skopje, as well as with the deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Mr. Jani Makraduli.
